Settled Now Mediation: Empowering resolutions, one conversation at a time.

Settled Now Mediation provides specialised mediation services for families navigating parenting and property disputes across Australia (excluding WA). As experienced mediators, we offer Family Dispute Resolution (FDR) services tailored to support separating families through smooth transitions, regardless of where you are located.

Our digital-first model means you can resolve your matter efficiently without ever needing to step foot in an office. However, should you prefer a face-to-face session, we can facilitate this in South East Queensland (Brisbane, Gold Coast, and Sunshine Coast). Most of our clients prefer to meet electronically for comfort, privacy, and convenience.

Whether you require property mediation, parenting FDR, or fast Section 60I Certificates, our professional team is here to assist you in resolving disputes compassionately from the environment where you feel most at ease.

What is Mediation?

Mediation, also known as Family Dispute Resolution (FDR), is a collaborative and structured approach to resolving conflicts within families. It provides a supportive environment where trained mediators facilitate discussions between family members to help them reach mutually acceptable agreements. FDR empowers families to find their own solutions to issues such as parenting arrangements, property division, and other disputes, without the need for court intervention. It promotes effective communication, understanding, and sustainable resolutions, ultimately fostering positive relationships and enabling families to move forward with confidence.
Settled Now Mediation offers expert family mediation services across South East Queensland, including Brisbane, Gold Coast, and Sunshine Coast.

Who Is Mediation Suitable For?

Mediation is available to all separating or separated couples who are willing to meet with the other party in an attempt to resolve their dispute. We help separated parties come to an agreement about how to divide up your shared property, finances and assets across Brisbane, Gold Coast, and Sunshine Coast. If you have children, we can also help you negotiate future care and parenting arrangements, and manage changing family dynamics through this challenging time.

Our practitioners are also authorised to issue Section 60I certificates in parenting matters that require them.

What to Expect at Mediation?

Our trained and trusted practitioners stay neutral, and treat all parties involved with respect. We offer a safe and impartial space to help you make decisions for the future.

Where do I have to go for my Mediation?

In short: Wherever you feel most comfortable.

Because family law is federal, mediation can happen anywhere in Australia (excluding WA). We operate a fully remote service, allowing you to resolve parenting or property disputes from the privacy of your own home, regardless of where you or your former partner are located.

Why most of our clients choose to mediate electronically:

Greater Comfort: Discussing sensitive issues is often much easier from a space where you feel safe and relaxed, rather than a sterile office or a shared waiting room.

Total Convenience: No need to travel, pay for parking, or take a full day off work. We can connect you across state lines instantly.

Reduced Tension: Electronic mediation provides a healthy level of distance, ensuring you can focus on the resolution without the discomfort of being in the same physical room as your ex-partner.

Prefer to meet in person? If you would rather a face-to-face session, we are happy to facilitate this at one of our hubs in South East Queensland (Brisbane, Gold Coast, or Sunshine Coast). However, the vast majority of our clients find that the electronic process is faster, less stressful, and just as effective in reaching a legal resolution.

What is a Section 60I Certificate, and how fast can I get one?

In short: We provide the legal certificate you need for Court with a fast 5-working-day turnaround.

In Australia (excluding WA), you generally cannot apply for parenting orders without a Section 60I Certificate from an accredited mediator. This proves you have attempted mediation or that it wasn't appropriate for your case.

Why choose our 60I service?

  • Fast Action: We issue certificates within 5 working days of your process concluding, no months of waiting.

  • No Office Visits: We handle everything electronically across Australia, so you can skip the travel and the awkward waiting rooms.

  • Court Ready: Our certificates are fully valid for the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia.

Whether the other party refuses to attend or you simply cannot agree, we ensure you have the documents you need to move forward without delay.
